Dr. Neal Schultz works as a dermatologist in New York City and has helped people with acne problems for more than 30 years. In this video he talks about how anyone can reduce their acne with over-the-counter products. This includes a facial cleanser, toner and a product with an active ingredient. It is important that the cleanser is marked for oily or acne skin. When using it, you gently massage it into your skin for 5 – 10 seconds and then rinse it off with warm water. Use the toner on your clean skin and hereby remove the oil or dirt from your skin.
This video takes you through 5 easy things you can do at home to reduce your acne.
1. Toothpaste: This is probably the most effective home remedy to use for acne spot treatment. After washing/cleaning your skin, you take a small amount of toothpaste and put it directly on the pimple.
2. The second treatment described in this video is the salt treatment. Crush some regular salt from the chicken to a really fine substance and with a little bit water on your finger you put it on the blemish and let it stay for about a half hour. You can also add a few spoons of salt to a cup of water, dip a washcloth in the cup and lay it on your skin (wherever the blemish is) for about five to ten minutes.
